Lambeth Heritage Festival, London, 2017

20 September, Tate Library Brixton. DORA PROJECT participated in Lambeth Heritage Festival with a display including details about the V2 rocket attacks in Lambeth during WW2. This event  was a unique opportunity for DORA PROJECT to continue its research on V2 attacks in London, focusing this time on Lambeth and using Lambeth Archives.

VE Day commemoration, Buthiers, Seine et Marne, France, 2017

For the 8 May commemoration of the 1945 Victory Day, Françoise Dupré was invited to give a talk about her uncle Robert Berthelot and his deportation to Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora concentration camps. The talk took place in Salle Robert-Doisneau – the village community centre – alongside an exhibition curated by Robert’s son in law Yves Begaud.  The film …. by Rebecca Snow about Mittelbau-Dora  Memorial was also shown.

Summer 2016, Dupré spoke about DORA PROJECT at various international conferences

In London on 19-21 July 2016 at UCL Centre for Holocaust Education, Institute of Education, University College. The British Association for Holocaust Studies (BAHS) annual conference focused on the presence of the Holocaust in society, politics and culture, c.1970 – 2015. Dupré examined and compared current and contrasting museum displays of V2s (London, Science Museum and Imperial War Museum; Washington, National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution; France, La Coupole, Centre d’Histoire et de Mémoire du Nord-Pas-de-Calais).

 In Sweden on 15-17 June 2016 at Stockholm University,  Performative Commemoration of Painful Pasts. Dupré discussed DORA PROJECT’s performative process and its instrumental role in the project’s practice of memory.

In France on 27-28 May 2016 at La Coupole, Centre d’Histoire et Planétarium, near Saint Omer, Nord-Pas-de-Calais. The title of the conference was Les déportés de France au camp de concentration de Mittelbau-Dora et Kommandos (1943-1945).

The drama documentary film was directed by Johnny Gogan written and co-produced by Nick Snow.

Dictionnaire biographique des Déportés de France au camps de Mittelbau-Dora

A 2500 page-biographical dictionary of the deported to the concentration camp of Mittelbau-Dora.

Dupré contributed to the dictionary with the entry for her uncle Robert Berthelot (1922-2008), a Dora survivor.  

The book of the 9000 deported from France to Mittelbau-Dora is a powerful and ambitious memorial project directed by Laurent Thiery, historian at La Coupole, Centre d’Histoire et de Mémoire.
